But although i havent had Allegra weighed im pretty sure shes a little chunky. so, how do you get a dog to loose weight? she was being fed raw but is now on the same wainwrights as mine. basketcase687 Posted November 5, 2012 Report Share Posted November 5, 2012 Both our girls got tubby after being spayed. It was a case of changing them to the low fat / light version of the dry food they are on and although it took a while and lots of exercise, they both slimmed down nicely . I'm very happy with their weight/ appearance now but we do keep a check on tit bits etc, cos I don't think it would take much for them to starting ballooning again!!
