What can help?

Luka has rubbed his nose raw on his crate. I can't figure out how maybe sticking his nose out of it. I'm going to buy him some puzzle toys because I figure it's due to boredom. I leave him a kong and also a couple of rubber toys but I guess that's not entertaining enough.

What can I put on this or should I just take him to the vet? I cleaned off the small amount of blood already with a warm towel.

It's not bad but I don't want it to get worse...

A dab of Sudocreme will help with the soreness.

And promote healing as long as he doesn't continue to rub.

LOL just noticed your location if you don't have Sudocreme over the pond it's basically the same

sort of healing cream used for nappy rash or eczema.

I would put some sort of antiseptic on it (something from a first aid kit is fine).

Just make sure it IS NOT IODINE! I learned the hard way its a very painful disinfectant, Suka certainly let me know...

Alternatively, if you don't have anything then dissolve a good amount salt in water (enough so it tastes pretty salty!) and with a clean dry cloth, press and hold it to the scrape for 7-10 seconds. It'll hurt, so be prepared for struggling.

Or a salt + vinegar solution may be better...

this happened to panda, im guessing trying to escape the crate as well.

i just put some epsom salt in hot water so it melted, then dabbed it onto the affected area. Did this 3 times day, it healed but fairly slowly. he ended up getting another so i had to extend his walks in morning to tire him out more before i left.

the fur grew back on his nose slowly but you can still see that he had injured it before.
