(Like this: http://popuppicnic.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/tug-o-war1.jpg) That looks like a boat mooring rope. Try to go to your local marina/boat shop and ask for a (new) boat mooring rope or something similar to it. If there aren't any marinas/boat shops where you are, your local hardware store might have it. There are different guages/sizes for different boats. I find the thicker ones are the most comfortable on the hands...where your fingers can't wrap around enough that they touch each other.
