LittleLuka
i went through the search option but after three pages i gave up. i'm buying Luka a harness for Christmas because he's finally fitting in large size and i think i will be able to buy one he won't grow out of. I'm leaning towards the Julius K9 harness unless someone can offer a different option that they would think would work better for me. He pulls (obviously) but it's not horrible because we've worked a lot with loose leash walking. I do want something though that is going to help him from dragging me around. I'm not afraid price wise, i want a nice one, it's one of his christmas presents. also, how the heck do i measure him for one of these? his width im assuming? Elyse
I got a harness from Xtradog. It has a loop on the back, as well as a loop on the front. Very good quality. Unfortunately it doesn't fit him right...had to get him a custom-fit one because he didn't fit into their standard sizes. Can't return it now. And it makes him pull more (front loop or not), but that may just be him. Each company generally has its own rules when it comes to fitting their harnesses. Read up on their measuring methods before you pick a size..

Removed #2
Most sites have instructions on how to measure for their specific harness. We have EZ Dog now, but you can watch us trying to get the old harness on Andy before taking them for a bike ride...here:
Andy
If you feel you still need help with a harness that stops them from pulling then the Walk Your Dog With Love (WYDWL) harness are very good.

LittleLuka
i ordered a WYDWL harness. it was a great price and i didn't have to use such a specific measurement, it just went by weight. Plus, it came in a neon lime green color. I'll try it out but now that luka can fit one size i'm sure i'll be trying different kinds as well. LittleLuka
so my WYDWL came in and i tried it out last night. OMG..... i love it! It cuts his pulling WAY DOWN. Luka seems to like it better too and once i watched the video it was super easy to put on. no more fighting with Luka to get his legs through a harness. Thanks all! LittleLuka
So i bought the WYDWL and it's great for walks but i really want to buy Luka another harness. i think Molly is rubbing off on me? Looking at either Julius K9 or Manmat? Also i want a new basic collar and lead for Luka. i know indi dogs has plenty so i can look there. they do solid colors right? i hate most prints. if you have pics of your dogs in their gear i'd love to see! I'm gonna get a Julius K-9 harness for Cloud - I want one specifically for pulling and one I can use until Indi-dog is back up, once thats back up I'm totally getting the trail harness for bike-joring and jogging on my walking belt

HuskyCouture
For pulling harnesses I have 3 custome sized x-back harness from Alpine Outfitters that I use with my walking belt http://www.alpineoutfitters.net/secure/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=17 I also have chestplate harness from Ezydog that I love http://store.ezydog.com/chest-plate-harness/ For collars, I use Dublin Dog, they're the no stink, rubber collars that are amazing.
