Hi all,

Glad I stumbled across this page! Despite all my research before getting our bundle of awesome (love him to pieces), he's definately one of a kind, I'll take any advice particularly on where I can find the most user-friendly tips on Recall & Emergency Recall training (on his long leash), & general husky stuff I can get from the people who've been there! There's alot of information out & about but if you know of any videos/ tips etc that work super well & would like to share them here I'm all ears :) he's definately a typical husky - bright as a button (learned to sit inside a few minutes) with attitude galore hah

Thanks!

Lauren

Welcome to the pack! :)

If you check out the training section, there's a whole bunch of good threads with tips and tricks.

Currently I'm going to try to train Suka's recall with a whistle....I heard its especially good for emergency recall because its emotionless (so if you're scared/angry they've ran away, they won't be able to tell so they'll probably come back), and its a strong and sharp sound. The only downside - you have to have the whistle on you!

Thankfully, I'll probably only use it at the dog park, so that won't be much of a problem for me.
