I dont get the whole pancakes and bacon thing.

I mean theyre sweet not savoury :/

Sweet and savoury can go brilliantly together - salted caramel is one amazing example.

I must admit though, I was the same until I was confronted with pancakes, bacon and maple syrup  for breakfast at a hotel one morning. I thought I'd give it a try and was an immediate convert - wonderful!!!

I have to say this is one of the oddest collections of stuff to put on pancakes --- I just can't picture putting lemon on pancakes.  I make pancakes sometimes for supper - I´m not a one for food first thing in the morning so pancakes for breakfast are not on my menu.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned - and it appears to be a southern US thing - is peanut butter.  Most of the time it's either (artificial ..argh) maple syrup or a bit of honey, but sometimes just for the change I'll throw some peanut butter into the mix.

My Mom used to make pancakes, sausage, and scrambled eggs for dinner at least once a week, because it was quick and easy. I was never one for pancakes, because they got soggy with syrup (we use my Great Uncles Homemade stuff) and I don't like soggy food. So, she'd put peanut butter on mine to get me to eat them.

Yep, and that even sounds good!   I also find it odd that you put milk in tea ... sugar - maybe; honey - yep; lemon - sometimes; heavy cream ( and honey ) - in a very dark tea, possibly - - - but milk?????

Gotta love a bit of milk in tea :) infact my tea is normally more milk than tea lol
