Val (Zebedee) Posted February 12, 2013 Report Share Posted February 12, 2013 Please welcome Logan, he is currently staying with us getting used to living in a home & with a pack - he is a Greenland dog - also known as a Greenland Eskimo dog though that is not the breed name. He is coming up to 4 yrs old on 21st Feb and is getting along famously with Myshka Diesel & especially Kaviq who is usually the one to watch, but with so many dogs coming through the door lately, he's had no option but to get used to it & welcome a new playmate! lol So, please say Hello to Logan, our new visitor As you can see, he has chosen his crate & goes in without a fuss, but my goodness, is he a hoover with his food! lol He doesn't stay still long enough to have some decent pictures taken, but I will persevere & get a good one! lol Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He previously lived outdoors with another northern breed dog, but he is well socialised with dogs & people (though he has the husky instinct where little dogs are concerned!). Not too sure but I think he may have had to "fight" for his food as he is quite protective over any food, human or dog. If I'm preparing any, he grumbles & gives a little snarl if one of the others come near him as if warning them "I'm gonna get it first!" lol But he's learning that a sharp "No!" stops that behaviour & now I just have to say "Ah" and point the finger & he stops; he did pin Kav down tonight because I put a bag of food shopping in the kitchen & Kav went to investigate! They're both OK, thankfully & Logan had time out after it, now they're playing happily together again, so we just have to be more careful where we put shopping bags down Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
