KathyandKoda
Hiya I just have a quick question about my Husky, Koda I am a first time husky owner. I had the opportunity to rescue a pup. I managed to do some homework before taking him home but am just curious about something! Koda is a black and white, purebred male Siberian Husky and is 7 months old (exactly). He stands at 21 and a half inches at the withers and weighs in at just under 45 pounds. When out on walks, fellow husky owners have commented on his size for his age. I was just wondering what you guys think? Is Koda a bit big for his age or is he more or less on target for a 7 month old male? I have attached a picture of him with my 3 year old Greyhound x German Shepherd who is exactly 26 inches at the shoulder. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
BingBlaze n Skyla
Huskies usually reach their full height around 7 months , they will grow a small amount after that but he shouldn't get much bigger , I'd say he's pretty spot on for his age :-)
KathyandKoda
Thanks My vet said at 7 months he is about 80% of his body weight and height but that he is probably due another growth spurt soon O_O
Elyse
My boy was 57 pounds at a year old (or so the health records I was given show). Right now he is 75 pounds (8 years old), but I have my doubts he's a purebred...probably crossed with a Mal??
