Changing Food???

Hi everyone,

We all currently live in Germany but now are moving back to England in a few weeks (Husband is in the army). The food he has here isn't available in England so we will have to change. Are there any brands people could recommend? Jacob is nearly 9 months.

Would love any help :D

Also as we are coming back to the UK are there any Husky events happening, we will be living in the Bedfordshire area?!

Thanks :D

I don't live in the UK, but I know people suggest James Wellbeloved and a few others.

The forums usually hosts husky meets every April and October - perhaps it isn't too late to join in on the April camp?

EDIT: Whoops - the UK camp is in May this year (thanks Alex!)

Hi Faye, Alot of the problem is finding something that Jacob likes. There are so many on the market but if you are going to be living in Bedfordshire there is an animal food supplies company called Fortuna which stands on the side of the A1 in Sandy. They do their own brand of food which a friend of mine swears by. She has around 12 huskies which are out working most weekends so the food is of a good quality and reasonably priced. I have tried my dogs on it but they are fussy and wouldn't eat it. I feed mine on Wagg working dog, chicken flavour, they won't touch the beef, Natures Diet and raw mince all obtainable from Pets at Home. I hope this is helpful to you in some way. Good luck with the move back to the UK.

Gary.

Ahhhhhhh thanks so much for the comments!! Joined the Bedford huskies group on facebook, how exciting!! Jacob loves to play with other dogs so was sad that he also will leave friends behind when we move so that's why we want to get involved with groups etc.......he's like a child to us ha!!!

Also thanks with the food comments, we have seen that in the area there are pet shops etc.......Jacob, unlike most huskies are said to be, will eat ANYTHING!!! And lots of it. We just worry as he does have a sensitive stomach at times but guess will just try when we move.

Thanks again everyone :D
