Everybody, Meet Nymeria!!

So, yesterday I was feeling pretty crappy, with some new meds I'm on and lack of sleep from the night before...

My husband called me and asked me if I had missed a phone call from the breeder we were supposed to be getting a puppy from (she called us on St. Pattys day and told us they had had a litter, but they were all spoken for and that there would be another litter in late April, and we were first on the list). He told me that she said they had 2 10 wk old females to choose from, if we wanted one today. She decided she wasn't going to keep them for showing because she had a couple dogs from their parents who were good in the ring.

So, hubby said we could go pick one out to bring home :)

I named her Nymeria, after the direwolf from The Game of Thrones.

Her papers will read "Karnovanda's Nymeria of the Winter"

Her head was all wet from Diesel's drool. Surprisingly, he's been really calm. He just drools a lot...which he always has with other new dogs. It's kind of slowed down a bit. LOL

Below is a picture the breeder sent me of her at 6 wks.

And it's so hilarious...Diesel is afraid of the broom, and Nymeria loves it!!! How strange!

Thank you everyone!!

We've been enjoying her, last night we finally got a whole nights sleep...she made it 7 hours without having to go outside to go potty :)

And according to her papers, she's a little older than 10 weeks, she's more like 14 wks. It was probably just a miscommunication on my husbands part-being the middle man through this, LOL.

Here is a photo of last night, while we were watching movies:

Congrats! I was just in contact with Karnovanda looking for a show quality male but they didn't have any available so I have to wait :(

Nymeria is just gorgeous though!

Thank you! I can't wait to see what she looks like when she gets older.

We were supposed to have one from a litter they had on St. Patty's day, but she had only had 5, so that put us on the top of list for a litter due in April. She was supposed to keep Nymeria for showing, but she decided she already had 3 from those parents from previous years, and decided to let us get one.

Judy is a wonderful lady, she kept in contact with us, showed us around the kennel. It's so beautiful there! All of their huskies are gorgeous and so well taken care of. She really cares about what she is doing. Make sure you have a 4wd vehicle if you plan on making it up the hill to her house in the winter :/ lol. We were supposed to borrow my Mom's car for fuel economy, but it was unexpected that we were going to be picking her up so soon, so we took our truck, and we are glad that we did! It was solid ice! LOL!
