CARRINGTON
So we have been trying to brush Balto lately since he is blowing his coat. We are however have some problems with this. He will bite when you brush him and bare his teeth and try to Take the brush. He did not draw blood but was close any advice on this? We are thinking maybe a muzzle until he gets used to it? Andy
Muzzle. It's harsh but once he realises that you are not hurting him then you can take it off. but if you are likely to be nipped then Muzzle. you need to brush him to help with the blow. RedJasper
I agree with Andy. It is better to be safe then sorry. Rori dislikes being brushed too so I feel your pain.

I'm surprised dave doesn't have to sit on him to hold him still.
valkyries
Oh he used to have to pin him down but he is getting used to it now lol
Julieanne
I agree with valkyries that some dogs get better over time. Rafeal would run off, though he likes me rubbing his belly with the brush once I'm finished so he doesn't mind now. Maybe see if there's a way you can make it enjoyable for him.
