shools164 Posted March 26, 2013 Report Share Posted March 26, 2013 Hi there, New here. My name is Michelle, i live in Manorville, NY, which is out east on Long Island. I have 2 husky mixes.. Hagen, a Husky Shepherd mix who has the saddest sob story of a life of abuse, followed by being hit by a car, left for dead, brought to a town shelter where he was gonna be euthanize. A husky rescue group found him, saved him, turns out he was in the shelter for about a week with a broken hip. Poor boy had to get his several surgeries and almost get his back leg amputated. I saw him for adoption early on and applied for him right away, and got approved and waited about 2 months before I could take him home due to all his treatments. He's a happy healthy 4-5 year old fella now. A bit socially awkward, and sometimes skiddish, but a mush and really coming out of his shell, especially since we adopted our second husky mix this past summer. We have Layla, who just turned a year, who a is a Husky Malamute mix. We got her as a puppy, since we thought it'd be an easier adjustment for Hagen, plus we have cats so we wanted to make sure she grew up with them okay. She's the embodiment of a husky. She talks, plays, sheds (haha) but she loves the cats. So she's great. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself and the pups. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(we call him Dr. hagen the horrible, because we joke that he is a mad scientist) Here he is being socially awkward close up of me and him Him and "daddy" snuggling Here is Layla The husband cuddles the dogs more than me haha Heres the duo looking like they are about to get in trouble (This was a few months ago, so Layla is actually a bit bigger now) Begging at the dinner table and I gotta show some love to my felines Here is sonny buns, my old man cat and here is grey and layla giving each other love.
