At 8 months he is still a puppy, still has a lot of growing to do! He won't even still filling out till he is over a year old. If he is 33lbs now at 8 months, no reason why he wont reach 60lbs in 10months time.

Anyway, his weight is irrelevant, as long as he is healthy, just enjoy him.

Zoya was about that weight at 7-8 months.  She's a tad over 60 lbs. now at almost 5 years.  What are you feeding?  If the food has a lot of corn, wheat, or soy, most of that will go bye-bye with little to no benefit. A grain-free food with quality ingredients will help with development and you should keep him on puppy food until he's about 1 year old.
