Sore Spot

I found a small patch of redness on Hurley, and the area of the red spot has some slight thinning of her fur! I'm getting distressed that we cannot seem to figure out what is causing her skin issue. It's not bacterial, its not parasitic. We think its an allegy but to what?  She is not on Iams anymore. She is on ToTW Pacific stream. She gets daily supplements of fish oils with her food and I am seeing very little improvement in her condition. It was suggested to me to give her an oatmeal bath, which I haven't done out of fear it will make her skin dryer. She had to shave the spot with the red patch so I could medicate it and I am just growing increasingly concerned that something serious is going on and we can't figure out what it is. Any one have any ideas I could bring to the vet?

ZRD is usually characterized by crusty, dry red spots. I would take him to the vet so they can take a scraping. :)

If your current vet isn't doing very much to help the problem, I would try to get another opinion. Afterall, I wouldn't have known about Suka's arthritis if it wasn't for a 2nd opinion (4 years ago his arthritis was so mild even the specialist found it difficult)

They have done a skin scraping in the past to verify that it wasn't parasites. And doesnt ZRD usually result in spots around the face? The one spot that I found is on Hurley's side. And I plan on taking her to the vet this week
