griff-uk
Hi everyone, I was at my dads hpouse last night and he said i should never feed sapphire bones unless its beef bones as they all splinter and cause certain issues. I argued the point and said no they can have most bones with the exception of cooked bones which is a no no. So could someone please clear this up for me if possible. Thanks in advance Mark
jmscott
Weight bearing bones will break teeth and cooked bones splinter. Really unless you are feeding a raw diet and using whole meaty bones, there's no need for them.
Elyse
Just adding on to the above: I know lamb bones splinter a LOT, regardless if they are cooked or not. Mine gets a raw meaty bone once in awhile - he loves it. It's more of a treat for him, and I always supervise him while he's eating it.
