lynnmw1208 Posted June 23, 2013 Report Share Posted June 23, 2013 I would not recommend one of these they are just not strong enough IMO I agree. Mine has the thick belt all the way through. The ones with the smaller string-like inside are more for smaller dogs I have a Flexi Giant its the strongest one and i trust it Definitely I have had my Giant one for over a year maybe even longer its perfectly fine still you just have to keep checking for damage on the lead part I have Skye on this one as she likes to pull and also run to the end and it has not snapped... i did however have one smaller that shadow ran to the end of and it snapped and he kept going so i do advise the Giant I have had my flexi for 4 years now and it's going strong. A good thing to do is if it gets wet, pull out the entire length of the leash and lock the mechanism to let it dry out before you retract it and store it.
