CARRINGTON
Balto has white feet and for some reason no matter how out of the way we go on walks or outside he always finds the mud puddles just so he can step in them.

Elyse
Yes, I agree. Suka has white feet. When we went to the dog park during the Easter weekend, he decided he would walk through ALL the muddy puddles. His feet were, literally, BLACK with mud. Well, when we got back (car seats were saved by a blanket I put down!), I tried for 30 minutes to try to take the mud out using just warm water and a dry cloth. After that didn't work at ALL, I decided to just use his shampoo with warm water. It worked like a charm, even though I had to get my brother to hold him down (at this point, he was getting frustrated/impatient and just wanted to leave!) Although, on 2nd thought, atleast he wasn't like the black lab who insisted on ROLLING in the mud puddles! Poor owner...
Steve
I use a washing-up liquid bottle filled with water to wash their paws when they get like this. If they've gone full-on into my local marshes, then only the hose is good enough for them (which neither mind too much).
