Alternatives To Grass?

Recommended Posts

Hi all! It's been awhile since I've posted last, but spring is here and I desperately need help with my yard (if you can call it that!). The snow is almost gone, but what it reveals is disgusting. My plan is to remove the grass to replace with something the two huskies can't destroy. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated....

Safest bet is probably patio or decking.  Would expect decking to get scratched and collect unwanted mess in the grooves.  I like those patio's that have patterns inlaid in stones but that's me and it's not my garden!  lol.  Personally, I just fill in the holes and sow grass seed everywhere and hope for the best!

You can get pet friendly astroturf

I'll have to look at the cost. My back yard isn't all that big with the pool and deck taking up half the land. The turf could be a good solution. Thanks....

I have that problem in my small outdoor area. All I have is mulch and if I leave them alone they like to dig and create big mud messes! I want to put stones to replace the mulch but I'm waiting for a bit
