Ive just bought the 18ct white gold strip needed, and have a quired her diamonds and sapphires. Ive made a mock of the ring, and have started practicing with setting the stones in it. I thought i would set this up and give you a blow by blow account of my rise and fall in the making Ill take pictures once i get the gold, but for the time being this is the mock (in sterling silver) i made with her diamonds and sapphires layed out so she knows what shes getting. photo taken with my phone so not great enjoy xx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Don't know if you know this already, but the higher the Karat (of gold), the softer it is and the more susceptible it is to scratches and etc. Personally, and I may be the only one thinking of this, but I'm thinking it won't look good with the gold...I'm thinking the colours will clash?
