She must have noticed the look on my face because she said they don't have to do a pat down - they ran a thing over me (bomb/chemical detector?) and over all of my stuff. She must have noticed the look on my face because she said they don't have to do a pat down - they ran a thing over me (bomb/chemical detector?) and over all of my stuff. First time I went to England on my own I had just found my luggage and was looking for the exit. Saw a big queue. But there was a guy next to it waving me to come that way. So I thought "Nice, a shortcut!". Turns out they just picked me out to do a full luggage search On top of that they asked my why I was in England, for how long and who was going to collect me.
