HuskyGuerl
So I am thinking about starting a side job of photography..A lot of people have commented on how well of pictures and shots I get of my dogs and pictures I take of my sister and my friends...so I was thinking about doing photography but not charge a crap load..maybe do some free sessions to get myself started and better at it then go from there..What do you guys think? Im going to college to be a veterinarian but would like to photograph on the side..i dont think you need a degree to photograph??
Andy
What you need is a really good portfolio. A collection of the very best pics you've taken. Printed as large as you can get, professionally on High grade paper. and mounted on decent thick card. That way when people ask to see examples of your work you can give them a presentation that should knock their socks off and secure the commission. You can show them on a PC or tablet. but it doesn't have the impact of holding them and being able to look really close at the detail and clarity.
