Diamond is not the brightest in the box so would definitely need to put him on my list  so...

1. Diamond and his collar and leash

2. My laptop

3. My phone

4. My wallet

5. The family's safe (it's tiny  )

6. School books

7. Folder that contains all important documents of my family members

8. Another folder that contains all of my report cards. Can't get to college without that!

9. Err, car keys? I don't drive, but my parents do. So I guess that's important

10. Whatever snack I can save from the fridge. Maybe Cheetos  :P

My children, the doggies (with leads if I can get to them), the cats if I have time to catch them, if not herd them into one room and shut them in with windows all wide open so they can escape themselves. Grab handbag on way out the door, it's enroute to exit so no detour necessary.

Skye, head collar, harness, leads and walking belt. My mum if she is in house and isnt already awake lmao. Camera. Phone. Laptop. keys. Really should do what sheldon does on big bang and have everything in a bag together so can just grab and run :-P then i would only have to focus on getting skye and my mum out the house while grabbing one bag.

Well, first I'd call 9-1-1..., then grab a fire extinguisher, but...:

1. Wake up family - if not already woken.

2. Suka - if he's too stupid to get out himself. (his leash is a given)

3. purse (make sure $$ + IDs are there)

4. Phone + charger

5. Keys (house + car)

5. External HDD - it automatically backups our computers every few days.

6. Assist in helping my family gather their stuff, if needed.

7.

8.

9.

10.

(couldn't think of the last 4)

1. The leashes and pups

2. Dog backpacks (all my dog stuff is organized into their two dog backpacks so if I ever need anything from their mushers secret to collars to 50ft leashes, its all there and packed up)

3. Wallet

4. Keys

5. Laptop

6. Camera

7. Cell Phone

8. Ipod

9. Pup's Photo Books

10. Flute

Honestly most the stuff would probably already be in my pocket or nearby, but those are the ten things I'd grab

Check smoke alarms regularly to ensure you have time to react in case of a fire

If possible practive your escape plan.  I find it strange than most of us have had a fire drill at school / work but not at home.

Get everyone out (animals and humans)

Stay out

Call 999

I wouldn't bother with laptop etc unless they were immediately to hand as material possessions are replaceable

on a serious note i do worry as if the fire was in the living room or kitchen we would be able to get out of the house being upstairs we have the garage we can go out the window and slide down.

but the parrot is in the kitchen and the dogs are in the utility room which is off the kitchen too!

there is a door to the garage which alex says hed break into but it is a heavy door and angels crate is against it.
