Ndure4ever
Does anyone have a good recommendation for a training book for Huskies? Duke is really good at almost everything except returning when we call his name and he gets loose. I realize that it is In their nature to run, but I wonder if anyone had any good recommendations on how to get him to come to us after he has fled. The closer you get to him the faster he runs away! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Andy
If Duke gets off lead. Don't chase him. It becomes a game. He's faster than you and sneakier. While he's still in sight call to him, sit down and pretend to eat. Like most Huskies he's probably food centric. Make loud yummy, eating noises. He should come running back to see what you're eating. Clip him on and walk home. Works for us.
