Val (Zebedee)
In the village where I grew up, there is a yearly custom called Walking Day. All the junior schools, cubs, brownies etc take part. I walked as a child with Brownies then Girl Guides. My children walked as part of their school. This is taking pace today & I am hoping the wet weather stays away long enough for the parade to pass & the kids to enjoy at least a little of the funfair http://www.rainfordparishchurch.org.uk/pages/walking%20day.htm Are there any local customs where you live or where you grew up?
