Stranger
I know I know, they take money easier than returning it! But someone please explain to me how the system is supposed to work Basically I have filed my tax returns (back dated) online, the system spat out a sum that they HMRC owe me....yay I hear you say, yes well it will get me on the road to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel of debt! So ive been really excited, filing them on the 29th May being told it will take between 10-30 days once all approved...guess what all approved that day WOWOWOW Today check my account and still nothing, for crying out loud...seriously. I called up to find out that I had apparently missed out a payment I received last year (£12.16 yeah I am going to remember that!), and had not declared resulting in it not issuing payment...this would be fine, if they had told me I had missed it, but no, no one called, no one emailed, nothing on the system....grrrr I asked the lady why I wasn't told there was an error, all I got was I would have got told. I proceeded to ask for the money from the 2 years which apparently are fine, but NO all three are tied in together...fringing fumble fiddle sticks!!!! HMRC...ahhhhhhhh rant over!!! thank you and good night

Sarah
Can you submit it in writing I can't see how they can hold your money back if they owe it to you? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk

Val (Zebedee)
With all the bumf and endless pages you have to fill in, they have the audacity to hold payment for that paltry sum? I'd get in touch by letter or email so there is a trail and see what they will do Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk

Andy
So why don't they simply deduct the £12 from the payout and pay up. Oh, yeah. and if you have been self employed and are now not. and even though you have signed all the paperwork declaring that you are now PAYE and not self employed. 12 years later you will still be getting demands and warnings for not filling in a tax return.
