Jase
Here is an article that I found interesting... The Surprising Truth About Mixed Breed Dogs
Elyse
Interesting - its also true that if you cross two breeds with a genetic predisposition to something, say cancer, than the offspring would have a much higher chance of developing that certain type of cancer because they now have 2 genes coding for it, instead of only one. love4Luna
That was a very interesting read. Another reason why I want Gloria to be DNA tested. We were told by the rescue that she is a husky/shepherd mix, but I'm not sure. She has some traits and looks that make me think there's more. Such as collie and/or retriever. Plus, I'm a information sponge, I like to know everything lol. So not knowing exactly what she is kinda drives me nuts!
Elyse
Yeah, I want to have Suka DNA tested as well...but I heard even if you buy the more expensive kits, it can be wrong...
Frenchie
Tbh I wouldn't waste my money on the DNA testing, read on a showing group that a lady had her two pedigree cocker spaniels tested to see what they would suggest, one came back pomeramian and the other english bulldog I think, and there's sooo many other stories like that, I've read way more ridiculous suggestions than near accurate ones. Yeah I've done my research and have seen that too. But I'm wanting a blood DNA test done at the vet.
