Odin's Beard Posted July 6, 2013 Report Share Posted July 6, 2013 I recently went on vacation for a week and left him with my parents. When I got back yesterday, they told me that he started having some kind of eye infection. Unfortunately, I took all my vacation days so I had to schedule a vet appointment for later today. He's with me at work, but I'm really worried about him. When he goes outside, the sunlight makes that eye squint. He also paws at it every few hours. Here's what it looks like with his happy-go-lucky face It really gets watery, so I have to use a wet towel to wipe around his eye. Does anybody know what this is and how do I help him feel better before his vet visit? He might have scratched it rooting around in a bush Insect bite there's a hundred ways dogs can get weepy eyes. Get him to the vet. they'll prescribe something to lessen the irritation and weeping. Its_A_Husky_Thing Posted July 8, 2013 Report Share Posted July 8, 2013 It also could be allergies. This year, our one boy started to have a discharge from his right eye. We got some eye drops from the vet that we give him if it happens. So far it was just in the spring, nothing more since summer began.
