MarleyMoo
Hi all just joined the forum, we are proud owners of Marley Moo a 1yr old male we got him from a rescue centre at the start of the year and apart from not being house trained he has been fine, he is a very loving dog and great with the kids, and he is certainly keeping me fit!! we are going to have him neutered but are unsure when is the best age to do this, we have been told by one fellow husky owner that it is best to leave it until he is around 2 to insure that he is fully matured. We don't want to hinder his growth/maturity, would appreciate any advice on this, thanks in anticipation Matt
Frenchie
Hi and welcome the the forum! Love the name!! And well done for rescuing him Look forward to seeing some pics of your boy As for neutering, I am also waiting until Mishka is fully mature to get her spayed, she is near her 2sd birthday so probably this winter or in the spring. Devildust76
Obviously we will need to see some pictures ASAP of Marley and as for neutering it is always best to wait until they have fully matured so yeah 18 months to 2 years should be fine
Keeonah
We have just had our male pup castrated. He was done at 10 months as the vet didn't want to do it any earlier so as to give him time to grow properly. Unfortunately we were forced into it as all our other dogs are female and he was in heaven for a little while. Not anymore. Aren't I mean. Gary. mydiamond
welcome to the pack there are lots of opinions regarding neutering age... and it's difficult to pick which one is really correct. But I'm the kind of person that supports neutering between 18 to 24 months. Even if so there are lots of dogs that got neutered before 18 months and is still doing okay oh by the way... Where are the pictures??
