ZachAttack
I'm looking to start investing in something like stocks and shares but to be honest haven't got a clue where to start. Has anyone done this sort of thing before who could point me in the right direction of maybe where to start looking or which websites to view? Cheers

Biggles
You might be best to start considering go with a stocks and shares ISA if you want a low risk strategy and is non taxable. It really depends on the degree of risk you are prepared to take with your money. Consider looking at organisations such as Investec etc, however you will be paying a monthly management fee. Also consider if you have paid your mortgages off and have other money that you can use as a safety net before considering speculating on the stock market. The international market is quite fluid at the moment e.g. the Chinese economy is not as buoyant as it was 12 months ago.
mydiamond
I don't have a lot to say except it's better if you learn how to read trends and research companies with stable stock price beforehand like Gill says always have a spare money to use as a safety net. Good luck!
