Hello, Im The Alaskan Husky Balder

Balder

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! Im a 23 year old Norwegian girl who just moved to London with my 1 year old Alaskan Husky - Balder.

Balder is my first dog ever, but I have been training horses for a living before so I have some knowledge about training animals. But, I would love to meet other people with husky's and learn more about the breed and training. Right now we are slowly starting to bike together, and both of us love it. Unfortionately I have no idea if Im doing it right. Hopefully I will meet someone here that could help us out!

Balder is a sweet boy, and I am a very lucky owner! Heres some pictures:

Welcome to this place so many of us call home. Balder is a neat name. He looks like he's well fit.

Welcome to the pack! My only advice is to wait until he's 18 months before you start having him pull the bike, and only run him lightly right now as at that age their joints aren't fully formed. And while you're on a normal walks, start your commands like 'hike' if you start jogging, 'woah' when you slow down, tell him your command for left or right when you turn that direction, and help him learn so that when you actually go biking he will know what to expect.
