Val (Zebedee) Posted September 13, 2013 Report Share Posted September 13, 2013 I work in an office of only 10 people. 7 weeks ago, one of the staff left to have a baby. Today, another colleague, Marie left to have her baby. We decorated her desk with streamers, banners, baby confetti pieces & a huge pink baby's foot balloon - it's OK, it was a helium-filled foil one (anyone who knows me will understand, anyone not sure what I'm on about, please ask!) She wanted to work right up to her due date of a week on Sunday but she has started with high blood pressure & was advised to make today her last day. So we closed the office for an hour and a half & went to the pub! lol We all went for a meal to say our farewells & the first girl that went off on maternity came over with her little boy, George! 4 weeks old, he is so tiny!!!!!! It was a lovely way to end the working week. There were lots of ooohs and awwws for George & lots of tears shed for Marie, mainly BY Marie who said she was going to miss us so much So my Friday 13th has actually been a very nice, exciting one .... how has yours been?
