As I'm sure you all know, Ryn (and now Petunia) spend many hours visiting nursing homes in our area. We currently visit two regularly and are working on getting into a third. Yesterday, we were invited to visit a school in Allison, Iowa (next week) to help teach children about Siberian Huskies, sledding and of course we'll get lots of loving from them!

Not bad for a couple of silly Siberians from Iowa, huh?!!!

The children have been reading about Balto and the teacher thought it would be great for the kids to be able to see sled dogs in person.

We'll be taking the sled along and while there's no snow here in Iowa yet, we'll get to show the children what a sled looks like and how we work hard to pull it.

I'm so proud of my girls. Ryn has been doing this her entire life, but now Petunia - once just a neglected stray, is a advocate for our breed.

I have the BEST girls in the world. So very proud of them.
