Another Husky Scam? (Fact Or Fiction?)

I was told yesterday about another scam that is alledgedly doing the rounds. It involves your dog going missing, presumed escaped or stolen. The dog then is found a couple of days later. The owner being so grateful that they have their dog back think no more about it until a number of weeks later when said dog is found to be pregnant. After the pups are born the thieves then go back and take the pups. There was an incident of this happened in Great Yarmouth a couple of days ago, fortunately the owners had heard about alledged scam and took the dog straight to the vets. If that is what was going on they are going to be in for a surprise in a few months time.

Gary.

That's sick. I'm confused how they would know which dog to steal and who was in heat by chance though! obviously there are signs but an opportunistic thief relies on quick thinking and acting impulsively on the spot.
