Hannibal Posted October 29, 2013 Report Share Posted October 29, 2013 Shadow is finally home!! Got him last friday. He's been such a good boy as of now!! He's very calm and he's following me EVERYWHERE!!! And i think he is very intelligent, because i put him in his crate for the nights, and the first 2 nights, he was howling ALL NIGHT, non-stop, but i was hanging in there. But during the third night it was less intense and last night, i put him in his crate, and no sounds at all during the night. It only took him 4 nights before being quiet in his crate. So proud of him. During the days, he is either sleeping again on the floor, playing with his toys, going for walks. But he's having some moment where he's bitting everything lol... He even tries to bit our hand, but not because he's mad, but more because i think he's preparing himself for his new theets coming up! At least i hope so... I don't want him to continue this habbit of biting everything lol! Anyway, he's such a good and beautiful boy!! I'm very happy!! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I would recommend you work really hard on bite inhibition (make a loud "ouch!" noise when he bites and then stop play), and on switching out toys for your hand or clothes. Huskies can be super "mouthy", we still struggle with ours knowing when play biting is not acceptable.
