Recalled Dog Treats

CARRINGTON

Recommended Posts

Well Balto ran out of his jerky treats that we always get him so last week we went to pick up more, but the brand that we normally get is gone so we did some shopping as he can't have treats with corn or wheat in them so we found a brand so we got him a new one that had come in from the company dogswell. We get home and give Balto one and he enjoyed it and we gave him one at night in the morning (not broken apart but a full one) well about 5-6 days we get a message from our vet about the brands of jerky that have been recalled by the FDA.....

As you can see, the brand that we had given Balto is on there so we immediately stopped giving them to him and he seems to be fine he is still annoying, trying to destroy everything, chasing the cat, eating, drinking, pooping, playing, walking, etc. normally so should we be concerned. It has been 3 days since he had his last one, but he seems to be doing fine.

I wouldn't be too worried about it, but keep a closer eye on him and if he starts acting weird then I would take action right away.  Just because they were recalled doesn't necessarily mean the treats you gave him were contaminated.
