Keeonah
Nina my little Ginger Ninja lays completely different to all the others. Is this normal or is it strange? Knowing Nina as I do it wouldn't surprise me if it was strange . She is a very strange girl.!!!! Gary.
TarMac
My 10 week old malamute lies exactly the same, I have wondered the same as well.
Andy
Looks like a more extended version of the "froglegs" position that a lot of Huskies lay in. My Darwin "froglegs a lot"

StarSydkik
They like the way the cool tile feels on their tummies. Fastest way to cool off.
Removed #5
How dare you call anything that a Husky does "strange"!!! Since they do, pretty much, whatever they want, any way they want, there's nothing strange about any of it ... As the Tremblays say, it's the quickest, easiest way to cool off. I've seen several dogs (of various breeds) assume this type of position - the oddest was my little Spaniel who would splay herself out on the floor with all four feet pointed away from her body, looked like a blooming rug! BlueWolf
I'm used to seeing this. Dana did a perfect demonstration of it when I brought her along with me to school, lol.
Emma
Brooke lays out like that. I thought it was due to her back legs bring arthritic but could just be because she likes it? Lol.
Elyse
I've never seen my boy lay down like that, maybe its because of his arthritis? Anyways, its funny. Torpedo dooog!
Keeonah
Thanks for all the replies guys. At least that's put my mind at rest. She is the only one that does it and she is a peculiar girl anyway. She has her own little way of doing things but the more you watch them, the more you realise that this is true of all of them. I now have one that imitates a horse and another, a torpedo Gary.

jmscott
· Hidden Hidden I went to a canine seminar a couple years ago and the veterinarian that was speaking said that dogs that have a good structure will use it. Link to comment
