Autumn In The Woods

Nope, not the Adirondacks. Its actually a small 1 mile loop trail on a 300 acre nature preserve on Long Island, NY. Most of the white pines were planted 200 years ago. The trail itself isn't that long, but there are plenty of places off the trail that are easily accessible since there isn't much undergrowth so you can make a whole morning or afternoon exploring. Considering its only a 15 minute drive from home, its an excellent place to spend a Saturday morning.
