Val (Zebedee)
I got home from a rather stressed day at work, went in to the kitchen to make a coffee so I could sit & chill for half an hour & there was a pool of water on the work top around the electric kettle mopped it up & checked the kettle - it's leaking!! It has 2 viewing windows & lights up blue - it's leaking from one of the windows couldn't even find the camping kettle we have .... back to basics it is for a brew then - good old fashioned pan

Emma
We just had to buy a new kettle too. Your leaky one isn't a breville by any chance is it? Our leaky one lit up blue and did the same thing but around the lid. Every time I poured it, water went everywhere, lol. Ended up buying a funky purple one in asda for £20. Result! It is a Breville one, yes! But it's leaking from the bottom of one of the windows - shouldn't really complain, my son bought it for my Christmas present 2 years ago! Looks like he won't be stuck for my pressie this year!

Clare70
The electricity companies are probably in cahoots with the appliance manufactures, they most likely give homes an extra boost to blow up appliances

I think you're right, I've heard lots of people saying they've had an electrical breakdown!! At least there are some good deals about!! I'll be glad when it arrives tomorrow as I now have a backlog of washing to do :-/ Sent from my C5303 using Tapatalk
