CourtJester
I order my cat and dog food together for extra discounts over at zooplus, turns out I ordered taste of the wild 13.5 kg roasted fowl canine food... so I now have my 13.5 kg of orijen and a big bag of TOTW dammit. Anyone think there will be an issue switching his food over ? They seem extremely similar. Edited January 22, 2014 by CourtJester
mydiamond
well it depends on your boy. Is he one of those "sturdier" dogs that won't mind a rapid food change? Or is he more sensitive?

Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk Sounds more spoiled than sturdy. I would transition from one to the other. Not familiar with Origen, so not up on what it contains. TOTW has no grain content. Switching between TOTW formulas (normally called rotating between) works for mine without any transition.
mydiamond
"sturdy" huskies are those who switch between foods without real stomach issue. Dime is an example. He went through an extreme change from Eukanuba to Blackwood (grain-based to grain-free; without "gradual switch period") without any diarrhea days. Then he went from Blackwood to TOTW Pacific Stream also without any drama. I'm unfamiliar with Orijen myself so I'd echo the others and recommend mixing the kibbles to gradually switch him once you ran out of Orijen
