Why Not!

I was given a 7 week old Husky puppy as a surprise birthday present last November. "Sadie" (named after Sadie Cove in Alaska) is now almost 4 months old and quite a beautiful dog. Sadie is my third dog, but first Husky. She has a great personality but is very "nippy" with her puppy needle teeth in a playful manner with just about everyone. Is that typical for Husky pups? Any suggestions on how to control that behavior?

First welcome to the forum! We would love to see some pics :D. That is quite common with puppies. If you search for bite inhibition on the forum you should find many threads dealing with this. A couple quick tips is that when she is nipping a loud ouch! And stop playing. Also replace your fingers with an acceptable chew toy. It takes awhile but can be done.

Hey there Kevin and Sadie welcome to our big husky family :) young pups like her are notorious for nipping that's for sure but it's nothing you can't train :) have a look around, we do have a lot of threads about bite inhibition :)

WELCOME on board
