Chicken Wings

Recommended Posts

Having had it mentioned by via several parties that raw chicken wings could help with Skye's intermittent tummy issue i decided to try it, and it seems to be having a good effect  :)

My question now is....is there a rule as to much should she have?

Having developed a taste for them she would them all day long given the chance, but i am keeping her on 2 meals a day of below the recommended amount of dry Iams large breed puppy food with bits of wing here and there.

Don't want to over load her....

Chicken wings are awesome.

It sounds as if you are mixing the Iams and chicken wings together in the same meal ??

You should always keep the different types of food separate.

With around 12 hours in between.

They use different stomach enzymes to break down the bones than to process the kibble

All that will happen is they get the runs if you mix the two together.

Keep them as different meals at different times per day and you'll have great results.

Hi Andy

I'm not mixing them, though i haven't really kept a rule about when she has the wings, i've kinda used bits here and there ad hoc. I'm glad i asked now, i wondered if there was some kind of rule and clearly i was right to ask lol

Thanks matey  :)
