zoey
lately ive noticed zoey has been scratching around her neck. ive brushed her fur to see if there is anything in her fur, and noticed some white flakes. Im not sure if its some kind of bug, it really just looks like dandruff almost. any suggestions?

Jase
A good brushing will stimulate the skin to produce self regulating oils and also remove the flakes. You can add a few dabs of Pure virgin coconut oils to the affected areas and brush. A daily brushing should help solve this before taking any drastic measures. If the skin is particularly inflamed then you will need to be very gentle. A very good treatment is a rinse with Calendula tea, as this soothes immediately and doesn't rob the skin of the natural oils. Once you get her comfortable you will then need to find out and address the root cause. I hope you get it sorted without having to go down the path of medications. kchesney8
It could be dry skin. Try some fish oil in her food. Also she could have some allergies. My tuff is allergic to eggs. He scratches and itchy crazy if he eats any.
