Andy Posted May 16, 2014 Report Share Posted May 16, 2014 When I’m on the Early shift. . . . I get up at 04.00am Shower, Breakfast, sort the dogs Make sandwiches and orft to work at 05.00am. This week as I’ve driven the 25 miles to work the sun has just been rising over the horizon The tiny molten spark peeking over the hills in the distance. Lighting up the clouds going from purple to red to golden yellow as the sun rises. The mist floating like silver white wraiths over the fields. The sun now fully above the hills flickering through the trees as I drive Creating golden shafts of light through the mist. I realise that I have a huge grin on my face revelling in this glorious force of nature. That I’m privileged to see this incredible vision each morning. But. . . . . A tiny voice at the back of my mind says. . . . “But you’d rather be in bed fast asleep though, wouldn’t you ???†Is this so wrong ??? gypsydal Posted May 16, 2014 Report Share Posted May 16, 2014 I used to do the same. Up at 4am..etc etc.. the drive to work would sometimes give me some beautiful sunrises over Cardiff bay. Then I changed my job so now i get up at 6.30 and get the train to work through lots of housing estates, so don't often see the sun rise anymore. This week I've been watching the big bright full moon set in the west over the mountains as the sun peaks over the mountains on the East side of the valley. I never really got to enjoy this until I started a new job. I personally wouldn't choose to be up this early..but it is pretty awesome to see!
