Now Owned By A Husky

Hi, my name is Cindy and I too am now owned by a Siberian Husky!

Her name is Smokey and I'm not sure exactly how old she is.... the person I got her from said that she was born on April 1st this year, but then he said she could only get her shots on Monday, so the math don't add up and she's very tiny & light...

First thing I need to get sorted is how much to feed her and how many times a day... so I'm off to find the feeding section ;-)

Sorry!!! I have no idea why the photo is upside down ...

Hi there and welcome to the forum!

It's reccomended by the kennel club to feed a pup under six months 3 times per day.  The amount varies according to the guidelines of the kibble but usually huskies require slightly less than the amounts stated. Too much tends to give husky pups diahrrea. :(    Once over six months then you can normally drop down to 2 meals per day.

She's a gogeous girly, always loved reds!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

Thanks Faelen for turning the photo around... it shows right on my tablet lol

Thanks Emma for the feeding tips! I found the thread on feeding and it helped a lot... I know that Huskies eat less than other breeds, but since this is my first Husky all the help is appreciated!!!

I didn't really have a choice of colour or anything since she was the last pup left, her brothers were all silver like her daddy and she's the only one that looks exactly like her mommy ;-) she has a gorgeous face and very nice markings!

I've always wanted a red Border Collie (since I am totally owned by a mostly black & white tri-colour) but I haven't exactly seen a lot of red Huskies here in my region...she looks more like a cat when she's running around than a dog!!!
