Stormy
Grrr was at work tonight and at 10.30 someone comes in askktn if anyone has a red Honda civic I said yeah why....Someone's just reversed into it and drove off!!! Well I'm not happy.... It's all on cctv and they had come into the shop before doing it! So I'm gonna check for damage in the morning as I can't see any as its dark (hopefully it will just be fine anyway) if there is any I'll be going back in for the cctv etc ... Martian
Hopefully todays 'flexible' bumpers will have absorbed any low force impact, (leaving no visible indicatiom of anything ever having occurred), and no need to trawl through cctv footage. If there is any damage report it to the Police as they can then look at the cctv as it is, (in principle), a serious offence although rarely prosecuted if no actual evidence, (such as the vrn of the offending vehicle), is forthcoming unfortunately. Looking from my, (usually positive), outlook on human nature there is always a possibility that it was purely accidental and the driver didn't realise that they had 'touched' / 'hit' another vehicle, (although that is not an excuse - driving without due care). Unfortunately this is something that affects us all as I always park at the back, (in car parks), well away from the 'busy' spaces otherwise it is simply a matter of days before the mysterious 'dings' start to appear in your bodywork. Our cheap, (eBay special), Jeep Grand Cherokee serves us well in this area as it is already 'battle scarred' so I can leave that anywhere, (without concern), as it was only bought as the 'Husky Transporter'! Hope that there is nothing to worry about.
Andy
Hope the damage isn't too bad. Also that you can get the CCTV footage and get the number plate. Then you can report it to the police and get a crime number for the insurance.
