Feeling Really Proud

Since we moved to France 9 years ago my eldest son hasn't always found school very easy.  Two years ago he opted to change schools (6th form college) and study a completely different set of subjects.  This involved him getting up at 6am so he could catch a bus, which took 55 minutes to get him to school each day.  He would then finish lessons at 6pm to then do the return journey, often not getting in until 7.15pm.  His grades have never been great and he hasn't always been a hard working lad, often ending with me having to have a good old moan etc.

2 weeks ago he sat his finals and this morning we got the results, HE PASSED!

I have to admit I really didn't think he would, it was so 50/50, I'd prepared myself for him to have to re take the year, but I was wrong and I'm so happy to be. He's also been accepted into an engineering university, his first choice, so I'm so happy for him.

:)
