xLOBOx Posted July 11, 2014 Report Share Posted July 11, 2014 I've been MIA from H-O for a LONG time now! It's been a very busy time for me over the past year, lots of crazy things going on. I'm really hoping to come back here regularly from now on. I used to be absolutely addicted to this site and this is the first time I've logged on in several months. I see I've got lots of new members to meet!!!!! And to those of you I've already known and met, nice to see you all again! (online anyway) I'll update with some pictures soon! My house has been chaos, here's whats going on: My dad passed away almost a year ago and my mom fell on some really hard times. Because of that, she had to move out of their house since it was too hard to pay all the bills on her own. So naturally, my husband and I invited her to live with us. All that is fine and dandy, but with my mom came FIVE dogs. Yeah, 5!!!!! Our oldest boy Scooter, a yorkie, crossed the rainbow bridge at about 14 years old a couple months ago. So now we have my three - Lobo & Ziva (huskies) and Lily (dachshund/min pin) along with my mom's two dachshunds, a chihuahua/dachshund, and a terrier mix. It has been pure madness! I love every single one of these dogs but taking care of them and keeping my own life together along with my first year of marriage is hard work. So, that's what's going on in my life! (( Wish I'd know yuo were in ABQ when I was up there a couple of months back! )) Sorry to hear about your dad passing away, it was just over a year ago that my mother did, so I can understand the "crises" that entails. I definitely have no down time at my house, they keep me on my toes! What were you up to in Albuquerque? It's not often people make it out here! The VA keeps trying to send me up there to the hospital - nothing serious, just some issues I'd like them to take a look at. Big Spring TX is 300 miles one way, El Paso is 300 miles another way but they want me to go to ABQ, at about 600 miles one way which would be okay if they gave me travel pay but I can't afford a $600 travel bill.
