Shanstamania
When Moony is sleeping after I brush him when his ears are dirty I get a cotton ball with some cleaning solution on it and just gently wipe the dirt off.

sparrow63
we usually use rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab. The alcohol cuts through the oilyness of the ear gunk and cleans it out very nicely
Sashagirl
I have always used a bit of alcohol on a cotton ball as well. Vet recommended. Does the job well. Just pull up on the ear a bit and rub the cotton ball in a upward position. It helps if you do it before the ears get really dirty and harder to clean. robke
Di has a game with ours...gets a tissue rolls it around her knuckle and goes "lets clean ears"and both come running and let her rub the inside of their ears... the knuckle part means that she cannot go into their ears to deep...afterwards offcourse they have to sniff and lick the tissue... I am NOT allowed to do this by both of them if I wrap the tissue and say let's clean ear they both look at me and stare...go on make my day....
