Camping

NOREAST SIBE

Recommended Posts

We love taking our two Huskies camping and they love it too, we are generally outside walking or hold on to a long leash at the campsite, after a long walk they are happy just laying around or laying by the campfire at night, does anyone use a portable kennel that would give us a slight break and still give the dogs some room without being tied out? Any suggestions from a fellow camper would be appreciated.

Yes we use crates when we go camping ok only for sleeping at night but there are others that use them for your purpose...it is a wire crate big enough for them to be comfy in

each has their own..

My guys are never crated at home.

but we do when we camp.

My guys actively pull me to get back in the crate after a walk

We crate train all ours - and take crates camping. We had all 5 camping, crated 2 + 2 with 1 GSD next to them but this video shows how "stressed" 2 of ours were when we camped in the remnants of Hurricane Bertha (first time camping for the foster boy too) - it did get way windier too but double pegged the tent so we were one of the ones that survived on the campsite!

We have the largest size crate we can get that folds down.

All three of mine fit in there.

There's no room for them to walk around in there just lying down.

But most of the day they are outside attached to the tow hitch of the car only really in the crate overnight

Inside either the caravan (when we rent one) or tent

Personally, I cannot crate him at camp, because I have no car to bring the crate. So, I ll have to find some alternative solution.

you can always use a stakeout... just make sure you get a good one..:D

It's why I attach them to the car.
