Need Some Ideas Please :)

I want to get my dogs some new toys because I don't want them to be bored all the time! Anything that seems like it's food-like causes aggression between all of them, even if they all have their own... So maybe avoid food items. They have a couple of chew toys that they, for the most part, completely ignore. Meeko and Cara were quite fond of a stuffed white buffalo they had when they were puppies but it made such a mess with stuffing! Eventually it became just the carcass and Roux really loved to chew on it after I found it months later and gave it back to them. They just seem so hard to please! Especially Meeko and Cara now that they're more of "adults." Meeko occasionally will play with a pink rubber bouncy ball but only for a couple of minutes.  :anyhelp:

  • 2 weeks later...

Bella's favourite toy is her sausages on a rope - about £2 I think from pets at home but we are lucky if they last a week as she likes to take the sausages off the rope!

She also likes flat or unstuffed teddy type toys that she can throw and chase around the kitchen!

Food wise she likes the bones that are filled with things and I also as a special treat (again from pets at home) got her some peanut butter flavoured chews that were like raw hide but a natural type so no bad stuff.

I have tried giving her proper bones etc and she's not bothered! Its taken me a year to find a food she likes she's super fussy!

The only issue I have with food-type items is the fighting over them. If I just had one dog I wouldn't mind giving them whatever, because mine like most toys that have to do with food, they don't seem to be interested in anything else! Ropes have been somewhat successful in the past, so maybe I'll try to find something like that with the sausages like you're talking about.
